Eileen Duke

Eileen is a dedicated professional who considers it a privilege to be trusted with someone's most valuable asset during a time of life change. She works diligently to foster a relationship based on mutual trust, respect, and confidence. After spending much of her life in a quaint coastal town in Connecticut, the blissful lifestyle of the Vail Valley called to Eileen where she has lived now for over 35 years.

She has a deep-rooted connection with the best that this valley has to offer; whether it’s the international culture or the many year-round recreational activities. Eileen’s story begins on the East Coast where she was trusted to work with many affluent clients in the retail management sector for five years. Upon moving to Colorado, she worked for another ten years in retail management for several high-end shops in the Vail Valley.

In 1998, Eileen’s focus shifted to real estate where she spent seven years as an Escrow Officer for a renowned national title company; a position that taught her the inner workings of complex real estate transactions. Throughout her tenure there, she was exposed to not only residential transactions, but also those involving developer contracts, timeshares, commercial, SBA, 1031 Exchanges, reverse 1031 Exchanges, short-sale, and REO closings. Eileen then moved into a transaction administrator position for Clearwater Development; the owners of Brightwater Club where she oversaw 102 closings for the new development located just outside of Gypsum. She also led the charge in maintaining a legal library for the subdivision and assisted with creating the metro district and the subdivision plats.

Although ski resort and second-home buyers represent a large segment of her clientele, Eileen also prides herself in working with the locals in our community when navigating the real estate process. She often works with first-time homebuyers and has a heart to advocate for those who find themselves in foreclosure or short-sale situations.

Outside of assisting people with the transaction of their most valuable asset, Eileen has offered her expertise as a member of local real estate committees including the MLS Functionality Committee, the Education Committee, the Finance Committee and the MLS Syndication Task Force at the Vail Board of Realtors. Eileen was also on the VBR Board of Directors when she chaired the MLS Board from October 2015 to October 2017. By meeting rigorous standards, she also holds several of the industry’s most prestigious designations that instill confidence with her clients in her ability to get the job done.

For the past 26 years, Eileen and her husband have enjoyed the calmer aspect of the Colorado lifestyle at their ranchette in Gypsum. A devoted animal lover, Eileen spends her spare time with her horse Rozzie and cats Jasmine and Shadow. Although the Vail Valley is a world-renowned vacation destination, it is a small-town community at heart. Because of that community, Eileen has previously volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and the Mountain Valley Horse Rescue, where her beloved Rozzie used to live. There is a reason that Eileen has a long list of happy clients. Her extensive experience ranging from retail management to working on both sides of real estate transactions for over 25 years ensures her clients that she has the trusted acumen of a seasoned professional.
